For in-person my office is located at:
555 Andorra Glen Court, Suite #2
Lafayette Hill, PA 19444
For virtual video sessions:
I use Psychology Today’s HIPAA-compliant video platform (through their App or web browser) for virtual video sessions. Here is my secure link for the video platform: https://sessions.psychologytoday.com/jessicagetsoncounseling
Prior to our first virtual session, if you have any questions about using the video platform, please contact me.
I am in the office for regularly scheduled sessions Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays for daytime and evening hours. Clients in need of support between sessions may reach out to me anytime and we can arrange to connect any day of the week as needed.
All regular sessions are scheduled for one hour. However, if clients require support between sessions, I make myself available. For those support calls, I charge only for the time we use.
The duration of therapy can vary depending on individual needs and goals. Some people may find that a few sessions are enough to address specific concerns. Others may benefit from longer-term therapy, where we engage in a more in-depth exploration of mental health, personal development and ongoing challenges.
Ultimately, the decision on how long therapy lasts is based on your unique needs, preferences, and progress.
I am committed to creating a safe and trusting environment where you can openly explore your thoughts and feelings. Here are the key rules regarding confidentiality:
What information is confidential: All information shared during therapy sessions, including personal details, mental health history, and any other discussions, is strictly confidential.
Exceptions to confidentiality: There are a few legal exceptions to confidentiality where I may disclose information:
- If there is a clear and imminent risk of harm to yourself or others, I may need to take action to ensure safety, which could include informing a family member or relevant authorities.
- If there is suspicion of child, elder, or dependent abuse or neglect, I am legally obligated to report this to appropriate authorities.
- If I am subpoenaed or ordered by a court to disclose information, I may be required to do so.
- If you provide written consent for me to share information with another professional or organization, I will disclose specific details as per your instructions.
No Sharing with Family or Friends Without Consent: Information shared during therapy will never be disclosed to family members, friends, or others without your written consent, unless one of the exceptions mentioned above applies.
The first session is $350
All future hour-long sessions are $280
Payment in full is due at the time of each session. I accept credit cards, Venmo (@Jessica-Getson), checks, and cash.
I do not accept insurance. By not accepting insurance, I am able to offer you more personalized and flexible care without the limitations that insurance providers may impose.
This allows us to focus solely on your reason for seeking therapy, with no need for pre-authorization or restrictions on the type and frequency of treatment. It also ensures greater confidentiality, as I do not have to share your information with insurance companies.
Additionally, you have more control over the process and can choose the approach that best suits you, without having to worry about insurance protocols.
As a licensed out-of-network provider, clients are required to pay for sessions at the time of service.
The good news is that you may be eligible for reimbursement from your insurance company. I will provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company for out-of-network reimbursement. A superbill is a document that includes all necessary information required by insurance companies to process reimbursement for the services provided.
To determine your eligibility for reimbursement, I recommend contacting your insurance provider. Here are a few questions you can ask to get the information you need:
1. “Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?”
2. “What is my deductible for out-of-network services?”
3. “Once my deductible is met, what percentage or dollar amount of the session fee will be reimbursed?”
4. If they ask for CPT codes (those are the codes for the services being rendered) you can tell them 90791 (initial evaluation), 90837 (1 hour sessions), 90834 (45 minute sessions) and 90832 (30 minute sessions). This list of codes encompasses all possible session options, though we may not use all of them.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about this process—I’m happy to assist in any way.
I understand that life can be unpredictable, and sometimes, appointments need to be changed. However, to ensure that I can offer the best possible care and make the most efficient use of time, I ask that you provide at least a 24-hour notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. I understand that unforeseen circumstances arise, and I am happy to discuss any extenuating situations that may require flexibility.
Your understanding and cooperation with this policy is appreciated.
